找了一下原文
書本是節錄了最後一段,好像也不太一樣
但書本也說過這有很多版本
反正古詩嘛
大意是說一個叫珍妮的女人愛上了一個叫坦林(Tam Lin)的武士
但是坦林已經被精靈皇后(the Queen of the Elvens)抓走
最後珍妮如何費盡千辛萬苦通過考驗帶走了坦林
悲傷氣憤的精靈皇后說了這段話

I should have put in two eyes of wood, of wood
我很喜歡後面重複兩次
非常強調一次放進一個放了兩次

這本書告訴我
雖然精靈皇后這番話無疑地表現忿忿不平
而且有威脅的意味
但從另一個角度
也是一種仁慈的表現
因為她終究放手了
